The Role of Your Member of Parliament

As your representative for Embakasi East, I understand the profound responsibilities entrusted to a Member of Parliament.

My commitment is to diligently uphold these duties, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of our constituency are at the forefront of national discourse and development.

1. Representation
My primary duty is to be the authentic voice of Embakasi East in the National Assembly. This involves actively listening to your concerns, advocating for your interests, and ensuring that our community’s unique challenges and opportunities are understood and addressed at the national level. I will champion policies that reflect our values and contribute to our collective well-being.
2. Legislation
Parliament is the supreme law-making body. My role in legislation will involve participating in the creation, amendment, and repeal of laws that govern our nation. I will scrutinize proposed legislation to ensure it serves the best interests of Kenyans, particularly the residents of Embakasi East, promoting justice, equality, and progress for all.
3. Oversight
Effective governance requires robust oversight. I will hold the executive arm of government accountable for its actions, policies, and expenditure of public funds. Through parliamentary committees and debates, I will ensure transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public service delivery, safeguarding the resources meant for our development.
